Hebrew Calligraphy

Creating Hybrid Hebrew characters –
that is, to blend them with a Chinese calligraphy style – is a new experience
in writing and reading the 5000 year old language.
When written in block forms, both
Chinese and Hebrew readers initially found it annoying to read and simply
difficult to comprehend. Many even reported encountering cultural shock.
However, when the artwork was
scrutinized, Hebrew readers were not only able to read and understand the text,
but their feelings of alienation dissolved – especially interaction with the
artist.
Before long, purveyors began to
appreciate the works deeply, curious to know more about this new form of the
old language.
I shall continue to spread this new
form of Hebrew, both to promote the beauty of Chinese calligraphy, but also to
continue to intrigue audiences enough to provoke contemplation on cultural
differences.
